Public Works Equipment Operator to compete at Provincial competition in September
Ron Duquette, a Municipality of Lakeshore Equipment Operator, recently won the Truck Roadeo hosted by the local chapter of the Association of Ontario Road Supervisors (AORS). Lakeshore’s popular grant program for local organizations is back in 2025!
Local non-profits and community organizations are invited to apply for a Community Benefit Fund Grant; a program designed to support capital projects that contribute to the overall well-being of Lakeshore’s communities.
To better support lasting community infrastructure, the 2025 grant program has shifted to fund only capital projects such as facility upgrades, equipment purchases, and other long-term improvements.

The Municipality of Lakeshore is taking proactive steps to help residents manage rodent issues with the launch of a new Residential Rat Abatement Pilot Program.
Through the program, eligible homeowners can receive a 50% rebate (up to $200) on the cost of licensed pest control services. The goal is to support residents in keeping their properties rat-free while promoting preventative maintenance across the community.
