At the meeting on September 10, 2024, Lakeshore Council opted to appoint a replacement to fill the Ward 2 Council seat vacancy after the passing of Councillor Paddy Byrne earlier this year.

Stanley Cup Coming to Lakeshore

The Stanley Cup will make its way to the Municipality of Lakeshore with an appearance by Championship-winning Florida Panther, and Belle River-native, Aaron Ekblad, on Saturday, August 17, 2024.
Residents and local media are invited to see the Cup from 9:10 AM to 10:30 AM at the Atlas Tube Recreation Centre (Renaud Room.)
