Budget features the lowest tax rate increase in the region at 2.97%
On Thursday, February 15, 2024, Lakeshore Council approved the municipality’s 2024 Budget.
On average, the approved tax rate increase will add $54 per year ($4.50 per month) to the municipal portion of property tax bills. County of Essex and school board levies will add $122 per year ($10.16 per month).

Lakeshore's annual pothole-filling operations start to roll out this week, with crews prioritizing high-traffic roads.
Local roadways have faced particularly difficult conditions this year with several freeze-thaw cycles. Lakeshore’s 2024 collection calendar is now available online and has been mailed out to residents and businesses through Canada Post. Residents can expect to have their copy in the mail later this week or early next week!
