Scenarios gave firefighters experience with “realistic fire conditions”
Earlier this month, the Lakeshore Fire Department conducted live fire training exercises at the Lakeshore Operations Centre (304 Rourke Line.)

River Ridge Park Officially Opens

The Municipality of Lakeshore opened the new and improved River Ridge Park on July 7, 2022, with Mayor Bain and Council members officially cutting the ribbon.
The park is located on Oakwood Avenue between Lakeshore Discovery Public School and St. Anne Catholic Secondary School.
New amenities at the park include a splash pad, washroom and change room facilities, shade structures, exercise equipment, new lighting, parking area, pickleball courts, and landscaping.

At the Canada Day festivities on Friday, July 1, the Municipality of Lakeshore officially dedicated two Millen Park amenities to honour former Woodslee residents and community advocates.
