Firefighters take on midrise building rescue scenario
On International Firefighters’ Day (May 4, 2022), members of the Lakeshore Fire Department tackled an elevated training exercise at a local six-storey building.

Lakeshore Limiting Heavy Loads on Local Roads

By-law amendment aims to reduce impact of truck traffic on Class B Roads
At a meeting last week, Council of the Municipality of Lakeshore approved a by-law amendment designed to reduce the impact of heavy traffic and extend the life of local roads.
The amendment to By-law 2-2002 (By-law to Regulate Traffic on Highways) introduces year-round load restrictions on all of Lakeshore’s Class B Roads. The change means heavy truck traffic will be required to stick to designated routes, including County Roads.
