Lakeshore Fire Responds to CO Close Call

In the early evening hours of December 19, firefighters from the Municipality of Lakeshore responded to a home after residents reported their carbon monoxide (CO) alarm had activated. Upon arrival, crews entered the home and used monitoring equipment which revealed high concentrations of carbon monoxide gas.

Local Parks Not the Place for Yard Waste

The Municipality of Lakeshore is asking residents to refrain from disposing of yard waste bags and other organic waste at local parks.
Over the past week, a substantial number of yard waste bags have been disposed of in the parking lot of Leffler Peace Park. While the location is used for the collection of natural Christmas trees in late December and early January, it does not serve as a year-round location for organic waste.
