Road Closure Notice: Notre Dame St to First St

Notre Dame St. starting in front of the Legion, to First St., to Ouellette St., to the Cenotaph in Belle River will be closed on November 9, 2024, from 12:00 PM until approximately 2:30 PM for a Remembrance Day Parade.

Lakeshore Honouring Veterans with Street Naming Project

List of local veterans to be provided to developers for potential street naming
At the November 5 Regular Meeting, Lakeshore Council received a report on the launch of a project that could see new Lakeshore streets named after local veterans.
Throughout 2024, Lakeshore staff worked with the Belle River and Comber branches of the Royal Canadian Legion to develop a list of local veterans who were killed in action in World War I and World War II.
