Stoney Point Library Facility Temporarily Closed

April 30, 2025 - The Municipality of Lakeshore is investigating the cause of air quality issues at the temporary facility that is home to the Stoney Point Library Branch. The temporary facility (a 24-foot by 40-foot mobile unit), which is owned by the municipality, is now closed to the public and library staff.

Lakeshore is putting out a call to “Respect and Protect Our Parks” this season as facilities reopen throughout the municipality!
Lakeshore’s seasonal park amenities, such as washrooms, courts, and sports fields, are scheduled to reopen to the public on Thursday, May 1, 2025. These facilities close and are winterized each year to protect the buildings and infrastructure during the off-season.

Help plan the future of skate parks throughout the municipality
Calling all skaters, bikers, and bladers, Lakeshore needs your help to plan improvements to the Belle River Optimist Park (705 Notre Dame) skate park and other skate-friendly assets throughout the municipality.
Residents and visitors are invited to share their feedback in an online survey until May 16, 2025. The survey asks how they currently use skate parks in Lakeshore and what they would like to see in the future.
