Grants to support community projects and organizations serving residents of Lakeshore
The Municipality of Lakeshore’s popular grant program for local organizations is back in 2024!
Local non-profits and community organizations are invited to apply for a Community Benefit Fund Grant, a program designed to empower local organizations and support projects that enhance the overall well-being of the community.
"We are thrilled to launch another year of the Community Benefit Fund to support the important role that non-profits and community organizations have in improving the quality of life in all of Lakeshore’s communities," said Mayor Tracey Bailey. "On behalf of Council, I’d like to thank these organizations for the work they do every day, as well as welcome them to apply for this grant opportunity."
The Community Benefit Fund Grant is open to a range of eligible organizations, including charitable organizations registered with the Canada Revenue Agency, registered not-for-profit organizations, and associations or societies. Applications will be accepted until September 30, 2024.
In 2023, the grants saw significant demand with the fund fully utilized. This year, to ensure all organizations have a chance to receive funds, grant applications have been capped at $5,000 per organization
Organizations interested in applying for the Lakeshore Community Benefit Fund Grant can complete the online application form. Before applying, they should also review the Community Benefit Fund Policy, which provides additional information about eligible organizations and projects.
