The Municipality of Lakeshore has completed an update to its Water and Wastewater Master Plan (WWMP). The Water and Wastewater Master Plan will provide the Municipality with updated recommendations to guiding the implementation of water and wastewater infrastructure improvements over the next 20 years. It is intended to provide timely, fiscally responsible, and achievable solutions to better manage the infrastructure required to service growth while managing risks within the Municipality using sound municipal and environmental planning principles.
The study was carried out as a Master Plan in accordance with Approach #1 of the Municipal Engineers Association’s (MEA’s) Municipal Class Environmental Assessment (MCEA) Process (MEA 2000, as amended 2007, 2011, 2015, 2023), which is an approved process under the Ontario Environmental Assessment Act. Following the completion of the study, the municipality may proceed with the implementation of projects as identified in the implementation plan.
