Amendment to the Municipality of Lakeshore Official Plan – Delegation of Authority for Minor Zoning By-law Amendments, File Number: ZBA-05-2024

Purpose of Meeting: An amendment to the Municipality of Lakeshore Official Plan is being considered that would delegate approval authority of minor Zoning By-law Amendments to a Committee of Council or designated Staff person. For the purposes of this amendment, a minor application may include: a) Zoning By-law amendments required to fulfill a condition of approval related to a surplus farm dwelling consent application; b) Temporary Use by-laws and extension of same; c) Removal of Holding (H) provisions; d) Site-specific zoning by-law amendments such as adding a permitted use to a property; e) Zoning By-law amendments that are required as a condition of approval for a provisional consent application, which has received no objections from the public or agencies during the circulation period; and f) Housekeeping by-laws to correct errors or make technical and/or stylistic revisions.
Council will consider an amendment to the Municipality of Lakeshore Official Plan, as amended (File: ZBA-05-2024), under Section 26 of the Planning Act, R.S.O.1990, c.P.13.
Council Meeting Date: Tuesday, May 14, 2024, at 6:00 PM or as practical thereafter.

Right to Appeal: If a person or public body would otherwise have an ability to appeal the decision of the Municipality of Lakeshore to the Local Planning Appeal Tribunal but the person or public body does not make oral submissions at a public meeting or make written submissions to the Municipal Clerk of the Municipality of Lakeshore before the proposed Zoning By-law Amendment is passed, the person or public body is not entitled to appeal the decision.
If a person or public body does not make oral submissions at a public meeting or make written submissions to the Municipal Clerk of the Municipality of Lakeshore before the proposed Zoning By-law Amendment is passed, the person or public body may not be added as a party to the hearing of an appeal before the Local Planning Appeal Tribunal unless, in the opinion of the Tribunal, there are reasonable grounds to add the person or public body as a party.
