Housekeeping Amendment

Purpose of Meeting: Council will consider a Zoning By-law Amendment to update several housekeeping items that have been identified within the Municipality of Lakeshore in relation to accessory building provisions, natural severances, and the definition of a Lot.
Council will consider amendments to Lakeshore Zoning By-law 2-2012, as amended (File: ZBA-22-2024), under Section 34 of the Planning Act, R.S.O.1990, c.P.13.
Council Meeting Date: Tuesday, February 4, 2024, at 6:00 PM or as practical thereafter.
Meeting Location: Hybrid meeting with limited in-person attendance at Essex County Council Chambers, 360 Fairview Avenue West, Essex ON, or by watching online at: Lakeshore.ca/TV

Right to Appeal: If a person or public body would otherwise have an ability to appeal the decision of the Municipality of Lakeshore to the Ontario Land Tribunal but the person or public body does not make oral submissions at a public meeting or make written submissions to the Municipal Clerk of the Municipality of Lakeshore before the proposed Zoning By-law Amendment is passed, the person or public body is not entitled to appeal the decision.
If a person or public body does not make oral submissions at a public meeting or make written submissions to the Municipal Clerk of the Municipality of Lakeshore before the proposed Zoning By-law Amendment is passed, the person or public body may not be added as a party to the hearing of an appeal before the Ontario Land Tribunal unless, in the opinion of the Tribunal, there are reasonable grounds to add the person or public body as a party.
