Local School Choir Featured in Lakeshore’s New O Canada Video

The talented choir from St. John the Baptist school in Belle River will help kick off Lakeshore Council and committee meetings with the launch of a new O Canada video. 

The video, presented during the May 7, 2024, Council meeting, features audio of the choir singing O Canada in English and French, overlaid with scenic images from throughout Lakeshore.

“As a Council, we are thrilled to see the new national anthem video in place. We thank the incredibly talented St. John the Baptist choir who have helped to make our vision for a unique, made-in-Lakeshore approach to the anthem possible,” said Mayor Tracey Bailey. 

“Our school choir was so proud to be able to record their version of O' Canada to be used at the Lakeshore Council meetings,” said Meghan Kolowicz, St. John the Baptist Principal. “We are always looking for opportunities to collaborate with our community partners, and this was such an amazing experience for our students that I'm sure they will always remember!”
